Tyra’s Background

Tyra Lynne Banks was born in 1973 on December fourth. She was born in the well-known city of Los Angelos, California. When Tyra was six years old her parents got divorced. (Tyra) Tyra Banks was just like any other average kid. She had an older brother named Devin that picked and teased her a lot. At age eleven Tyra hit a growth spurt and grew four inches and lost thirty pounds. (Tyra) It was a very tough time for Tyra. Often days at school she would come home because kids at school would tease her about her body image. Finally she grew out of it. In high school she went to an all girl catholic school. In her senior year of high school she got signed to Elite Agency and her modeling career took off.

Tyra banks is inspiring model, actress, author and executive producer of two shows. In fact she even has her own talk show; it’s called the Tyra show. Also she owns America’s Next Top Model where she helps young models thrive in the modeling industry. Tyra’s salary every year is estimated about eighteen million a year. Then when she turned twenty she became the third African American to sign a huge contract to Cover girl. Along with that she received the Michael award “Supermodel of the year.” Tyra banks has made many more accomplishments and at age thirty five continues to make more.

Tyra Banks is not only a model but a model that cares about people. All in all she is a role model for all whether there young or old, or black or white. Tyra is a very beautiful and influential person. She has made some major accomplishments and some of these have affected lives completely.
